American Muslim Experience is a nonprofit organization dedicated to documenting, preserving and sharing authentic American Muslim stories through multimedia storytelling and public programming.

American Muslims have contributed to the social, cultural, and civic life of the United States for generations. Yet our lived experiences are often overlooked or simplified in public discourse.

We document real lives and experiences of Muslim in America with depth and dignity. Through long-form visual storytelling and recorded dialogue, we preserve and share stories that reflect the complexity of identity, faith, work, family, and belonging in America.

We are building an archive that serves the community today and protects our legacy for tomorrow.
